Duration parts ways with two managing directors

Duration Capital Partners has parted ways with Managing Director Darcy Wilson, two sources familiar told Infralogic.

The departure comes a few months after Managing Director Jason Vassiliades separated from the firm towards the end of last year, the sources said. Wilson’s departure came in the past two weeks.

Both Wilson and Vassiliades had been with Duration or its predecessor since long before Duration spun out from Oaktree Capital Management in 2024. Oaktree had acquired the platform, then called Highstar Capital, in 2014.

Duration is expected to fill the positions through internal promotions, according to a source familiar, then backfill with new hires at the VP and associate level. The firm is expected to make around six new hires in the next year, the source added.

Wilson confirmed that he is no longer at Duration but declined to comment further. Duration declined to comment, while Vassiliades could not be reached for comment.

Wilson first joined Highstar Capital in August 2013 before it was acquired by Oaktree and had served as a managing director since February 2023. Vassiliades joined Oaktree in 2018 as a senior vice president after four years of serving as an advisor to the firm. He became a managing director in 2020 in Oaktree Capital’s Transportation Infrastructure Fund.

Led by co-CEOs Emmett McCann and Josh Connor, Duration spun out from Oaktree’s Transportation Infrastructure business in July 2024. Oaktree remained a minority investor in Duration, with Oaktree’s Vice Chair and former managing partner John Frank serving as Duration’s chairman. Duration has USD 4bn of assets under management, according to the firm’s website.
