MD leaves Carlyle infra practice
Partner and managing director Andrew Kapp has left Carlyle, according to two sources familiar with the situation.
Kapp, part of the Washington DC-based global investment firm’s infrastructure and renewables practice, joined Carlyle in May 2022 from JP Morgan Asset Management. He spent more than eight years at JP Morgan, joining the company after seven years at ArcLight Capital Partners as a vice president. Kapp previously served as an associate for Citigroup.
Carlyle did not immediately respond to calls and messages seeking comment. Kapp did not respond to requests for comment.
Carlyle’s global infrastructure platform holds more than USD 7.6bn in assets under management, according to the firm’s website, with over USD 2bn committed to renewable energy assets globally. The team includes more than 30 investment professionals.
