Largest announced PE deal: Advent International and Multiples Alternate Asset Management acquired an undisclosed stake in Svatantra Microfin, an India-based microfinancing solution company, for USD 230m. Another financial services company Avanse Financial Services, the student loan services provider, also attracted INR 9bn (USD 108.62m) from a group of investors led by Mubadala Investment, the UAE-based sovereign wealth fund. The stake size was undisclosed.

Most active target sector by volume: Computer software recorded six transactions out of 18 private equity deals in the month.
