Moeller Aerospace explored possible sale but holding off for now
AE Industrial Partners-backed Moeller Aerospace reached out to a select group of strategics earlier this year to explore a sale, but it decided to hold off for now, said three sources familiar with the matter.
Wixom, Michigan-based Moeller was working with financial advisor RBC Capital Markets to explore the sale, the three sources said. The company was being marketed off of around USD 10m to USD 20m in EBITDA, two of the sources said.
Moeller had high valuation expectations as a reason for holding off on a sale, all the sources said. Two of the sources added the company could decide to explore a sale again in the near future.
AE Industrial Partners acquired Moeller Aerospace in 2016 for an undisclosed amount.
Moeller makes highly engineered, flight-critical jet engine components, including flow-path hardware such as turbine blades and nozzles.
RBC Capital Markets declined to comment. AE Industrial Partners and Moeller Aerospace did not return requests for comment.
