Fox Corp’s February deal to buy Red Seat Ventures signals a new era for the global podcast industry.
Up to now, much of the dealmaking activity in the space has involved audio players buying podcast specialists. However, this move will enable Fox to connect its existing cable-news talent with new platforms, including podcasts, video, and live events.
