Assured could raise Series B within 24 months for AI workflow platform – president
- Eight-figure ARR projected by year-end
- More than 15,000 providers on platform
- Last funding round led by Insight Partners
Workflow automation software provider Assured may raise a Series B financing within the next 24 months to support growth and continued product development, said President Rahul Shivkumar.
The New York-based company has raised approximately USD 25m in outside capital, Shivkumar said. Earlier today, Assured announced a USD 19m Series A led by Insight Partners, with participation from existing investors First Round Capital and Kindred Ventures. The financing was completed in 2025, Shivkumar noted for this report.
Assured’s technology uses artificial intelligence (AI)-driven workflows and automation to complete provider credentialing, enrollment, verification and related operational functions.
The company is projecting annual recurring revenue (ARR) “well into the eight figures” by the end of this year, according to Shivkumar. ARR increased approximately 8x last year, and Assured expects roughly 3x annual growth in the coming years, he said. The business is debt free and reinvesting in growth.
Assured primarily serves physician groups with at least 50 providers. It has more than 15,000 providers on its platform, Shivkumar said. Customers include Birches Health, Tono Health, Blossom Health and Houston Methodist. The company plans to launch a payer enrollment agent next quarter.
The business was founded in 2024 by Shivkumar and CEO Varun Krishnamurthy, who collectively retain a majority ownership stake. They previously co-founded sleep-health company Dawn Health, which was acquired by Health Care Originals in 2023.
Assured ultimately aims to go public, though there is no set timing, Shivkumar said.
According to Shivkumar, Assured competes primarily with Medallion and Verifiable.
He said other AI-native provider credentialing, licensing and payer enrollment platforms include CertifyOS, Andros, Modio Health, Symplr, and HealthStream, while broader healthcare workflow and data platforms include NexHealth, Ribbon Health, and Health Gorilla.
Recent sector activity includes Medallion’s USD 43m funding round and CertifyOS’s USD 40m funding round last year. Also in 2025, HealthStream acquired payer credentialing software company Virsys12 for up to USD 17m in cash.
Tailwinds for growth include a projected shortage of 86,000 physicians in the US by 2036, according to estimates from the Association of American Medical Colleges, Shivkumar said. Assured says it can help credential providers in approximately 48 hours and reduce time to payer enrollment by approximately 30%.
Assured has approximately 45 employees, according to Shivkumar. It works with Goodwin Procter as legal counsel and performs most accounting functions in-house.
