OX2 puts two more solar farms on the block

Renewables developer OX2 is selling its 106 MW Lancaster and 80 MW Mulwala solar farms in Australia, three sources familiar said.

ICA Partners is advising on the deal, two of the sources said.

The Lancaster solar project is 9km east of Kyabram town in northern Victoria, while the Mulwala project is about 100km away near Mulwala town in southern New South Wales, according to OX2’s website.

Both solar farms are close to electricity network connections. Mulwala is listed as a state significant project and has gained development consent, according to the NSW government’s project planning website.

“Due to ongoing commercial matters, we are unable to comment at this time. We look forward to sharing more details about the projects in the future,” a spokesperson for OX2 said.

OX2 is also selling equity and raising debt for its 118 MW Horsham solar generator and 50 MW battery project in Victoria, advised by Acton Advisory.

ICA did not respond to a request for comment.

Sweden’s OX2 entered the Australian market in May when it acquired Australian developer ESCO Pacific.
