  • P3 model growth expected in US transportation for managed lanes, high-speed rail, and other sectors

Meridiam has been developing, financing and managing long-term public infrastructure projects for over twenty years and this year reached financial close on the massive USD 11bn SR 400 Express Lanes project in Georgia.

Partner and COO Americas Omri Gainsburg joined Infralogic’s Crossroads podcast to share how the global asset manager’s investment approach resonated with its LPs and the lessons he’s learned from his experience developing, financing and building US and global transportation projects. He also shares his outlook for the growing use of the P3 model for managed lanes projects, across more states and other opportunities in the US transportation industry, like high-speed rail.

Gainsburg expressed his firm’s support for rethinking the public activity bonds (PABs) cap at the federal level to catalyze private infrastructure development and how more local state and municipal administrations are working hand in hand with investors to structure and deliver the next generation of US transportation projects.
