Advisor relaunches battery sales

A pair of battery storage project sales in Connecticut and Texas have relaunched, with Fractal Advisory serving as financial advisor in each process, according to teasers seen by Infralogic.

Last week, UKA Group relaunched “Project Wallingford,” a process to sell a 50 MW/100 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) in New Haven County, Connecticut. The firm initially launched the sale process in November 2024, setting a first-round deadline of 20 December 2024. Non-binding offers are now due 28 March. The battery is targeted to go online in 4Q27, according to the teaser.

Earlier last week, Charlottesville, Virginia-based Hexagon Energy relaunched its sale process for a nearly 10 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) in ERCOT. The 9.9 MW/19.8 MWh project in Fort Bend County outside Houston has a targeted commercial operations date of June 2026. The process, named “Project Foxtrot,” initially launched in November 2024. Non-binding bids are due 28 March; bids were initially due 20 December of last year.

For the Hexagon Energy process, the teaser circulated in November stated that the buyer was to post security to execute on an interconnection agreement. The teaser circulated this week, however, notes that the interconnection agreement has been executed. The teasers for the UKA Group process appeared identical, other than the modifications to the dates.

Fractal did not comment. Inquiries to UKA Group and Hexagon Energy were not returned.
