Restructurings in the US and Canada covered by Debtwire [1] generated a total of 130 advisory mandates from 41 restructuring situations in May, representing a 35% decline from the 200 engagements in May 2024.  From January through the end of May, there have been 686 mandates in cases involving USD 167.4bn in funded debt, compared to 910 mandates involving USD 235.4bn funded debt over the same period last year.
