JPMorgan lines up over USD 8bn cross-border loan for historic EA buyout

Electronic Arts’ debt package backing the largest-ever LBO is expected to include a USD 8bn term loan B split between dollars and euros and a USD 2.5bn term loan A, said two sources familiar with the matter.
The term loan B is likely to be divided into USD 6.5bn and EUR 1.5bn, said one of the sources. The package also contemplates USD 4bn senior secured notes, EUR 1bn senior secured notes, USD 2.5bn unsecured notes, and a USD 500m revolver facility, added the source. JP Morgan is leading the syndicated deal, which is expected to come to market in 2026.
