Boeing keeps distressed suppliers airborne if they meet rescue criteria

Boeing is stepping up to help suppliers across its vast supply chain that are suffering from years of reduced orders and a recently concluded machinists strike that again brought production at many Boeing factories to a halt.

In many cases, the aerospace giant is willing to act as a lender and advisor to help keep distressed vendors afloat, several sector advisors familiar with Boeing’s efforts said. Highlighting’s Boeing success, since the company’s troubles started in 2020, only a handful of its suppliers have filed for bankruptcy, according to Debtwire data.
